About Alex
I may be a Lafayette, Louisiana native, but South Louisiana raised me.
I attended Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) where I studied Mass Communications – Public Relations, with a focus on crisis management. During my four years at LSU, I served in various leadership and service roles, most notably as the Director of Public Relations for the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Delta Gamma fraternity, as well as a volunteer for the Louisiana School for the Deaf and Visually Impaired, and the Connections for Life Women’s re-entry program. I was (and remain) an avid attendee of LSU football games in Death Valley. In 2016, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with honors as an LSU Distinguished Communicator. Four days after graduation, I took off down I-10 to New Orleans.
My law career did not begin immediately post-undergrad as I wanted to get “acquainted” with the real world before I moved on back into academia. And mosey I would, for I quickly discovered a love for New Orleans’ lifeblood – the music scene. I’m an extremely untalented musician, so I found my niche as a marketing and promotions manager for Live Nation New Orleans and The Fillmore New Orleans for the next four years. I continued with my passion for leadership and service by co-founding the New Orleans chapter of Live Nation’s Women in Music organization to promote the advancement and advocacy for women across live music; one of my proudest accomplishments. Then, in 2020, the music stopped, and my law career (finally) began.
My time at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law began like all other students in 2020, on Zoom. When I was not studying in the confines of my Mid City apartment, I was an active member of six legal organizations including serving on the Executive Boards of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, the Maritime Law Society, and as Ad Hoc Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal, among others. The highlight of my law school career, however, was practicing as a Rule XX Criminal Defense Student Attorney for the Loyola Law Clinic. Practicing as Rule XX Student Attorney allowed me to gain actual litigation experience in the Orleans Parish Criminal Court, rare for the average law student. It was an eye-opening, yet rewarding, experience that sparked a passion for justice and advocacy through litigation.
After earning my J.D. from Loyola in 2023, I made my way back to Lafayette to start my professional legal career with Parker & Landry. In my free time, I enjoy reading novels of various fiction genres while sipping a crisp glass of wine (Grüner Veltliner, specifically), munching on a Judice Inn cheeseburger, and spending quality time with my cat Kitty, family, and friends.
