About Day

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and raised in Sulphur, I grew up surrounded by the rich landscapes of the Calcasieu River—a vital waterway that connects Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Westlake. This river, flowing through the heart of my hometown, has long been a hub for commerce and transportation to the Gulf of Mexico, shaping both the industry and the community around it.
From an early age, I was drawn to the Louisiana Judicial System. My aspirations were clear—even as a child, I envisioned myself as an attorney or a judge. I can still recall Career Day in first grade, when I proudly dressed as a JAG (Judge Advocate General), a rare and telling choice for someone so young. I knew exactly who I was meant to be. My path was set, and nothing was going to stand in my way.
In 2017, I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with two Bachelor’s degrees before heading straight to Southern University Law Center. Law school was a challenge unlike any other—demanding discipline, time management, and organization. Fortunately, those qualities were already ingrained in me. Some might call me an overachiever, but I’ve always believed in doing whatever it takes to get the job done, a mindset instilled by my parents from an early age.
In 2020, I earned my Juris Doctorate and a Public Interest Certificate from Southern University Law Center, becoming the first in my family to achieve this milestone. My greatest support system has always been my family, along with my loyal four-legged companion, Emma.
Following graduation, I began my legal career clerking for a local judge before transitioning to criminal defense as a Public Defender in 2021. During my time in criminal law, I developed a growing interest in the civil legal system, which led me to the insurance industry in 2023, where I was introduced to workers’ compensation law. Seeking to expand my expertise, I joined Parker & Landry as an Associate Attorney on February 6, 2024.
Now, I am proud to be part of a team that not only fosters professional growth but also allows me to flourish as a litigator in the field of workers’ compensation law. I look forward to continuing my journey, advocating for my clients, and making a meaningful impact in this area of law.
